Cinderella’s Closet will be open on two consecutive weekends this homecoming season.
High school young ladies are invited to support a good cause while “going green” as they shop for gently recycled party attire.
Snedicor’s Cleaners of Brighton, known for its eco-friendly cleaning philosophy, will host this chic boutique that provides party clothes and accessories for Livingston County high school girls.
Dresses are priced for a student budget at just $25. All proceeds will benefit survivors of child abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault.
Boutique Dates 2012
Thursday, Sept. 6, 3 – 8 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 7, 3 – 8 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 8, Noon – 5 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 13, 3 – 8 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 14, 3 – 8 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 15, Noon – 5 p.m.
Shoppers will be invited to sign the “Homecoming Promise,” a commitment to enjoy homecoming free of alcohol or drugs. Celebrations are a time to remember, and we encourage high school girls to stay alert, safe and drug free on their special night.
The Promise Program is designed to increase awareness among high school girls about the dangers of using substances—especially at special events when clouded judgment can lead to unsafe situations including dating violence and sexual assault.
Cinderella’s Closet is sponsored jointly by LACASA and Snedicor’s Cleaners. Many thanks to Snedicor’s owner, Jim Gilligan, for generously hosting this event that helps raise teen awareness about the importance of staying substance-free.
Snedicor’s Cleaners is accepting dress donations of gently worn short and long gowns, shoes, purses and accessories at both store locations in Howell and Brighton.
For more information about Cinderella’s Closet, please contact LACASA at (517) 548-1350. Additional parking is available at the Brighton store after 5 p.m. and on the weekends. Look for signs.
