LACASA offers diverse Education and Prevention programs for the community. We are committed to providing prevention programs that build awareness about child abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault.
We provide programs for businesses, agencies and organizations to improve responses and increase awareness about child abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault. Services include consultations, trainings and educational programs.
We conduct awareness and prevention classes throughout middle and high schools in Livingston County. Our school outreach activities include programs for students on:
• Shaken Baby Syndrome Workshop – Designed to teach middle-school and high-school students about how to care for an infant that won’t stop crying. This couse addresses the normal crying phase of infants called the Period of Purple Crying. Learn more >>
• Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Workshop – Teaches middle school and high school students about the life-long damage that can result for an unborn child whose mother drinks alcohol during pregnancy. Learn more >>
