Nurturing Parenting classes help parents of young children

LACASA Center and the Kellogg Family Foundation offer Nurturing Parenting programs throughout the year.

This award-winning class series is designed for parents of young children who are ages newborn through 11-years-old.

nurturing familiesParents learn a variety of parenting skills including:

  • Stages of child development
  • Empathy
  • Appropriate expectations
  • Positive discipline
  • Parent/Child roles
  • Coping techniques
  • Power and independence

LACASA’s Nurturing Parenting sessions are scheduled at various times throughout the fall and winter. Watch our website or Facebook page for class session announcements.

Costs for the program is $75 for one parent, or $100 for two parents, and includes class publications, materials and light snacks. Limited scholarships are available. The series is for parents only; we regret that child care is not available.

To register for an upcoming series, or to learn more, call LACASA Parenting Educator, Jan Lobur, at 517-548-1350, ext. 288. Early registration is encouraged, as space is limited.
