LACASA’s CAP (Child Abuse Prevention) Council recently received a $3000 grant from the Wireless Zone Foundation for Giving (WZFG) to support its Stewards of Children sexual abuse prevention program.

Stewards of Children, created by the national organization Darkness to Light, is an evidence-based workshop that teaches adults 7 steps to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.

The WZFG funding enables LACASA’s CAP Council to provide this critical workshop free of charge to schools, child- and family-serving organizations, civic groups, and parents throughout Livingston County.

For information on Stewards of Children, or to schedule a workshop for your organization, contact LACASA at (517) 548-1350, ext. 287, or e-mail Deanna Norris, CAP Council Director, at
