Class Set for Parents of Kids Age 5 -11

lac educ prev strengthening families 9.2013LACASA’s Strengthening Families Program, a 12-week series for parents with children age 5 – 11, begins Tuesday, September 24, 2013.

This family skills course helps parents learn how to build strong families by:

  • Managing stress
  • Setting limits
  • Providing positive rewards
  • Solving problems
  • Learning effective communication techniques

DATES:  Tuesdays, Sept. 24 – Dec. 10, 2013

TIME:  5:15 – 8 p.m.

LOCATION: LESA Building, McGuffy Room B, 1425 W. Grand River Ave., Howell

COST:  $100 per family

INCLUDES: Class materials and light family dinner each week

Strengthening Families is an evidence-based family skills series endorsed by the  Community Based Child Abuse Prevention (CBCAP); Well-Supported Practices and Programs (SAMHSA); National Registry of Evidenced-based Programs and Practices (NREPP); Model Program Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Exemplary Program.
