Our Special Shift Advocate opportunity is a part-time position during evening and/or weekend special shift hours as assigned.
In this role, you will be responsible to responding to after-normal-business-hours telephone calls on our 24/7 help line and business phone lines. You also will interact with LACASA’s shelter residents and facilitate meeting their needs as they arise.
Skills required for this position include empathy, organization, record keeping, crisis intervention, and communication. A minimum requirement of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent is needed. Work experience or familiarity with issues surrounding child abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault is preferred.
