The SANE Alternative to Hospital Emergency Rooms

The national Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program emerged out of a need to protect victims during times of extreme vulnerability.

Emergency rooms normally require long waits in a public setting. Following an assault, victims need privacy, confidentiality and compassion.
