WHMI Auction: Costume Winner Announced

lac WHMI Costume Winner CarenCongratulations to 1976 vintage costume winner Caren, owner of Doggie Styles Pet Salon in Pinckney.

This collectible costume, recently autographed by Melissa Gilbert, Howell’s newest celebrity resident, is titled Laura of Little House on the Prairie.

WHMI’s Mike & Jon in the Morning spearheaded the pre-Halloween EBay auction to raise funds for LACASA.

When Caren found out she was the person who placed the winning bid, she was elated.

“I love Melissa Gilbert and have always been a fan of Little House on the Prairie,” Caren said.

The pet coiffure is brainstorming about how she is going to display the costume.

“I am thinking about ways to frame it,” said. Caren. “This costume is definitely going to be showcased in a place of honor.”
