Part-Time Special Events Coordinator

As a Special Events Coordinator for LACASA Center, you will coordinate and implement all facets of LACASA’s signature fundraising events throughout the year. You also will oversee and coordinate agency involvement in third-party donation drives and fundraising events.

LACASA’s primary fundraising events include the Drive Out Child Abuse Golf Scramble, Garden Tour Weekend, Twilight in the Garden and Denim & Diamonds.

We are seeking someone with strong organizational skills and a pleasant, professional and outgoing demeanor. In this position, you will work with our administrative staff, special event committee members, vendors, volunteers, and donors to ensure the delivery of unique, high-quality, high-performing fundraisers. 

Qualifications include a minimum of two years event planning experience and excellent communication skills including writing, proof reading and speaking. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and database management programs, such as Excel and Donor Perfect, is preferred. The ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments simultaneously is essential. The ideal candidate will accomplish event planning projects with little supervision. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds is required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. 

This position is 24-hours per week, with additional hours as needed during prime event season, which is March through September. Our administrative office is located in Howell, Michigan.
