Workshop on Child Sexual Abuse Prevention

Stewards of Children

As adults, it is our duty to protect children and create a safe environment in which they can thrive.  

The CAP (Child Abuse Prevention) Council of Livingston County and LACASA provide this evidence-based workshop that teaches adults to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.

    • This is a free 2.5 – 3 hour training that utilizes video, workbooks and group discussions to teach adults 7 Steps to Protecting Our Children
    • The program integrates simple principles to promote an understanding about the nature and impact of child sexual abuse
    • Participants learn how to take personal responsibility for the safety of children
    • Fears and apprehensions about addressing the issue are discussed
    • This comprehensive workshop is designed to keep adults informed and children safe
Stewards of Children is a critical program for parents, grandparents, child caregivers, and adults who work and/or volunteer with children.
